Learning | Randolph Beresford Nursery School

The school’s aim is to nurture, motivate, and inspire children while challenging them in their learning. We are an inclusive school of highly committed staff, led by five qualified teachers. We aim to support all children in being fascinated in the world they are growing up in.

Our curriculum is built on strong relationships and is ambitious for all children. It has been carefully designed so that all children are included.

Children with additional learning and development needs are well supported by individualised learning approaches tailored to their stage of development. All children have a designated Key Person who advocates for them while in the nursery.

Ofsted have graded our school as Outstanding.

EYFS

The EYFS is a government document, it was revised in 2021 in an attempt to decrease paperwork and enable Early Years Professionals to focus on being with children teaching and supporting learning rather than spending time writing about it.

Curriculum

At Randolph Beresford Early Years Centre we provide a nurturing, motivating and inspirational learning environment for children to learn. The carefully designed learning environment ensures children have endless possibilities to learn and are constantly challenged.

Forest School

All children attending Randolph Beresford will access our forest school onsite space. The Forest School ethos has six principles, which were agreed by the UK Forest School community in 2011.

Home Learning

Very young children use a vast amount of energy while in nursery, they are active learners constantly moving and exploring to find out more about their world. Most young children approach new ideas and challenges best when they are placed within familiar experiences with familiar adults that the child has a trusting relationship.

Global Climate School

To enable the children to learn about the world around them, their impact on their world and how we can care for the environment Randolph Beresford is a member of Hammersmith & Fulham’s Global Climate Schools programme.
